Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions of Sale are effective as of July 2026.
1. Acceptance of Quotation
All quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Prices are subject to change after the quotation expiry date due to supplier or manufacturer price increases.
No order is confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
2. Payment Terms
A 15% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order and reserve production with our manufacturers.
The remaining 85% balance must be paid in full no later than four (4) weeks before the scheduled delivery date.
Production of your kitchen cannot commence until the deposit has been received.
If the final balance is not received by the due date, 1066 Kitchens reserves the right to:
Delay manufacture or delivery
Suspend the order
Apply revised delivery dates
Recover any additional costs incurred.
Title to all goods remains with 1066 Kitchens until payment has been received in full.
3. Made-to-Order Products
Every kitchen is manufactured specifically to your individual design, room dimensions and chosen specification.
As all products are bespoke and made to order, orders cannot be cancelled, amended or returned once manufacturing has commenced.
The Customer acknowledges that made-to-order goods are exempt from standard cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
4. Returns & Refunds
Due to the bespoke nature of our products, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for correctly supplied items manufactured to the approved design.
Returns will only be considered where:
The goods supplied differ from the approved order.
The goods are damaged in transit.
A manufacturing defect exists.
An error has been made by 1066 Kitchens.
Any approved replacement items will be manufactured and supplied as quickly as reasonably possible.
5. Design Approval
Customers are responsible for carefully checking all drawings, layouts, dimensions, colours, finishes, appliance selections and specifications before approving the final design.
Once written approval has been given, the design becomes the agreed manufacturing specification.
Changes requested after approval may result in additional charges and revised lead times.
1066 Kitchens cannot accept responsibility for errors that were present on drawings approved by the Customer.
6. Measurements & Surveys
Where 1066 Kitchens carries out a site survey, every reasonable effort will be made to ensure measurements are accurate.
Existing properties are rarely perfectly square, level or plumb. Minor variations are normal and may require adjustment during installation.
Where customers provide their own measurements, 1066 Kitchens accepts no responsibility for any inaccuracies or resulting costs.
7. Delivery
Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.
Delays caused by manufacturers, suppliers, transport companies or circumstances beyond our control shall not constitute a breach of contract.
Customers must ensure safe and adequate access for delivery.
Storage charges may apply if delivery cannot take place on the agreed date due to customer-related delays.
8. Installation
Unless specifically stated, installation is quoted separately from the kitchen supply.
Any installation programme may be affected by unforeseen building conditions discovered during renovation.
Existing walls, floors, plumbing and electrical installations may require additional work once exposed.
Any additional work requested by the Customer or made necessary by site conditions will be quoted separately.
9. Appliances
Appliance warranties are provided by the individual manufacturer.
Any warranty claims relating to appliances should be directed to the manufacturer unless otherwise agreed.
1066 Kitchens cannot accept responsibility for manufacturer warranty decisions.
10. Worktops
Natural stone, quartz, porcelain and timber products may vary in colour, veining, texture and pattern.
Samples are intended as a guide only.
These natural variations are not defects.
11. Product Variations
Colours displayed on screens, brochures or printed materials may differ slightly from finished products.
Timber products naturally vary in grain, knots and colour.
Painted finishes may show minor variation between batches.
12. Inspection of Goods
Customers must inspect goods upon delivery where reasonably possible.
Any visible shortages or damage should be reported within 48 hours.
Hidden defects should be reported within seven (7) days of discovery.
13. Storage of Goods
Once delivered, goods become the customer's responsibility.
Products must be stored in dry internal conditions.
1066 Kitchens accepts no liability for damage caused by poor storage, moisture, building works or misuse after delivery.
14. Liability
Our liability shall be limited to the repair, replacement or refund of defective goods supplied by us.
We shall not be liable for:
Loss of earnings
Alternative accommodation
Business interruption
Loss of enjoyment
Consequential or indirect losses
except where required by law.
15. Force Majeure
1066 Kitchens shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Supply chain disruption
Manufacturer delays
Material shortages
Industrial action
Transport disruption
Severe weather
Government restrictions
16. Cancellation
Orders may only be cancelled before manufacturing has commenced.
The initial 15% deposit is non-refundable as it covers design work, administration, supplier reservations and production scheduling.
Once manufacturing has commenced, the Customer becomes liable for the full contract value.
17. Intellectual Property
All kitchen designs, drawings, renders, plans and visualisations produced by 1066 Kitchens remain our intellectual property until payment has been made in full.
Designs may not be copied, reproduced or used to obtain quotations elsewhere without our written consent.
18. Complaints
Should any issue arise, customers should notify us as soon as reasonably possible.
We will always endeavour to resolve any genuine issue promptly, fairly and professionally.
19. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
20. Customer Declaration
By paying the deposit or signing the quotation, the Customer confirms that they have:
Read these Terms & Conditions.
Approved the kitchen design and specification.
Understood the payment schedule.
Accepted that all products are bespoke and made to order.
Agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
